Great snook action cuts loose on Tampa Bay…

Fall is the time for great Tampa Bay inshore fishing.  Summer is long, hot, and darn humid in Florida – we all know that, but September and October mark the turning point when days become shorter and the sun angle begins to sink.  It’s a time when fishing really lights up and you can really enjoy some great times on the water.

Great Tampa Bay snook fishing

You don’t want to miss the action.  Snook have been on the beaches and in the passes for the summer spawn.  The season has been closed – but that’s all changed.  Big snook are on the move back into the bay, and they’re on a feed in preparation for winter.  Now, winter is a relative term in Florida, but, nonetheless, the fish react and prepare.  Bait is plentiful and the action can be virtually non-stop during the best tide phases.  I like to free-line live sardines along the deeper mangrove lines.  If artificial baits are your thing, try throwing a pearl-white Gulp shrimp along those same mangrove cuts.  You won’t be disappointed.  Redfish are also in the mix.  Fall is a great time to find schools of over-slot reds cruising the flats.  Once you get on a school and get them in a frenzy, the action is on.  I’ve said it already, you do not want to miss this action – trust me.  I always tell folks that fall and spring are the absolute best times to fish in the Tampa Bay area.  Give it a shot!  Call me or text me at (813) 760-6735 today and we’ll set something up.  Visit my Charter Information Page for all the details.  Don’t wait, book today.  I look forward to seeing you on the water.  Tight lines and stay safe.
